RR/OutRun Encoder Board Swap
If you want to upgrade your BSA encoder board firmware, but don't have the PC needed to do it yourself, this encoder board exchange is a solution.
- Updated Encoder Board version 1.5 with v1.81 firmware
Encoder Board versions 1.3 and up were re-designed for much stronger rumble. This cannot be upgraded via firmware, it was a hardware change.
- Return label for you to return your current Encoder Board.
- Updated Sticker with Steering Sensitivity and Deadzone controls.
You agree to send back your current BSA encoder board after switching it out successfully. This is not a complete Encoder Board kit - it is an upgrade and you must have previously purchased one of our mod kits.
Updating the Encoder Board firmware is NOT required to use the latest version of our RR/OutRun SD card. However, there are new features you might find of interest. Please watch this video to see some of what is new. In addition, as of v1.81, we now have added Deadzone control as well (not mentioned in this video).
If you would rather upgrade the encoder board yourself, please download the base firmware install package here:
You will also need to download the latest version of the firmware file for your board.
Look for the version in the upper left corner of your encoder board and download the correct firmware file:
This is the file you will load into the updater, not the one referenced in the video below or readme file:
