TIPS and other Info:

On our Custom Control Decks, if Player 1 and Player 2 Stick controls are swapped you can, at any time, HOLD START and A and B for 2 seconds. Controls will immediately swap and be saved to that setting.

START GAMES and ADVANCE in menus - Press A Button.
BACK in menus - Press B Button.

EXITING GAMES - Long Press START to EXIT all games.

SHUTDOWN - Hit START for Menu and then go to Shutdown option. After Shutdown, then toggle Power Switch on control deck.

FAVORITES - Long press the C controller button to add or remove games from the Favorites Menu.

 

Updates and Connecting to WIFI - Updates are available in our SETTING MENU. Do NOT update anywhere else! You will need to connect to your home WIFI and to do that you need to exit Kiosk mode. You will automatically exit Kiosk if you try to Update but there is also a Kiosk Toggle: Settings - Tools - Toggle Kiosk Mode. 

Then hit START and go to Network Settings to connect to your home WIFI. You'll select the SSID from the pop-up list and then go to password and enter it in. If successful, you will be able to Update from our green SETTINGS MENU.

This video is for our Super Sprint update before we added the Kiosk Toggle Tool, but it will show you the process.

OTHER INFO:

  1. There are 3 modes on our Encoder Boards: Keyboard, 2 Player Controller, and 1 Player Controller.
  2. The Keyboard mode is required for the Pandora Box. It will also work with many games on our PC Lightgun build.
  3. The 2 Player Controller mode is best for using our Lightgun PC. The 1 Player Mode is only needed for other Batocera systems that aren't compatible with 2 Players.
  4. To Switch Modes, you simply unplug the encoder USB, hold down START and A buttons, and plug the USB back in. Cycle the USB one more time without holding down the buttons, and you should be in the next mode. Repeating the process again will switch to the next mode and then back to the first.
  5. Testing the controls is best done by plugging the Encoder Board USB into a laptop. Then go to www.gamepad-tester.com to test the buttons. If no controllers come up, you might still be in Keyboard mode. (Test here: www.keyboardtester.com)
